true plug and play!

The guy who made tuner studio doesn't have any interest in Megasqurt. He only makes money if you pay for the extra features in tunerstudio. I don't mind paying him knowing that.

You can download and use tunerstudio free. It's the 'auto tune' feature that he was referring to- you have to pay for access to that.

Make sure you get the mega log viewer as well ($20-$30). Can't view logs without it.

All my dyno tuning was done using logs.

I used the 'auto tune' to dial in idle, part throttle cruising, etc., while in the street.

Those two 'add ons' are well worth it for a beginner tuner. Sure, you can tune without them. But know at a minimum you need a way to log AFR's to RPM's.

For what it's worth, pretty sure there is a free version of the log software that lets you view your log files. The "registered" version has the auto-tune feature that will read over a log file and recommend fuel map changes, similar to the live auto-tune that TunerStudio has. Actually, I think it says it's the same algorithm, just doesn't require a live hookup to the computer to tune. Might be some other features that get unlocked as well, but still not a bad deal compared to other options on the market.
