My project is a 70 Dart with 383 & A833 4 speed. Looking for the 4.35 IBR housing and see a lot from E & B bodies. Would it be better to find an A-body bell housing? Are the pivot ball holes in the housings in different places across the A, B, and E bodies? Or, is the Z-bar fab work going to be the same no matter what housing I find? Seems the A-body bell housings (BB) are harder to find. Occasionally seem them from a 68/69 BB dart gts but they are pricey.

Appreciate any help/thoughts.

a good source for details and source of all parts big and small is Wayne Brewer of ohio, look him up in the net under probably brewers 4 speed performance parts. it will also show you the "retail" value of the bog block bell.

I was told A' Housings were different, but I don't know where that comes from. The Chrysler parts book show the same part number for 67-69 A,B,and C as long it is 10 1/2 cast iron #2536945. The difference is the attachment to operate the clutch. There is a company re popping those parts as well. Passon I believe, I have a 2468370 and 372 from the 65-66 B and C, and they would have worked as well. The main thing is the 10 1/2 and cast iron. I have housing part #2636945 in my 69' cuda, and it functions as built.

I'll check out Brewers. Thanks!

Thanks for the part #'s. I feel more confident I can get most of those housings to work.

Much appreciated.

I have a 10.5" bellhousing I bought for my 68 Dart that I sold. Was thinking of selling it. I can get the casting # if your interested.

If that housing is a big block... I'm interested. f it's a 4.35 IBR I'm really interested. Sorry for the late reply. Please let me know. pics would be great, as well.

Thanks WRB.
