Agreed, with the flow nujmbers comming out of the dual planes it really isn't worth sacrificing any street manners for that tiny bit extra.

flowmasters drone and under acelleration sound rappy adn tinny. SOund great at an idle though.

Allot of good sugestions. But there is nothing wrong with your original plan, especially if you are on a budget. If you want to step it up a little you could put in a 2000-2300 stall converter. That cam will have a little lope at idle and great throttle response. You can probably get away with your current valve springs also. Good luck with your build.

With a quality convertor you could run a 3000 stall easy. Your wife would never even know it was in there. My car has a 3500 stall and my wife drives it. It runs like a normal car.
