Anyone else dream of E-Body ownership?

Well Paul egos aside i wont deny your point on that note, but lets look at the raw data , Us E body owners dont need to buy $ 900.00 headers to put a big block in our cars , we dont need to deal with wierdo small bolt wheels , and most E bodys came with 8 3/4 rears and sway bars.

You don't need a big-block to go fast in an A-body, because unlike an E, it's not a porker! I don't want or need an 8.75" axle...honestly, I'd rather have an 8.25" (or 9.25") at this point. (Bonus: parts--like a 3.55 limited-slip--for it are as close as a Jeep Cherokee in the junkyard.)

Most A bodys do not come with any of these items and need to be added if you wonna put any kind of power under the hood . All mopars are cool in lots of ways , but E bodys are end of the muscle car era and mopar pulled all the stops with these cars . I think you need to find a better argument then E bodys having plastic door panels that make them bad cars .

E-body: close to 4000lbs. A-body: gotta to work to get one over 3500lbs, not at all hard to get under 3000. Much as I love my 4500+lb Cadillac, I do understand that weight is the enemy! (Which is why I searched high and low for a pre-1997 318 Dakota...)

It's a snowball effect: the lighter A-body can get away with manual steering, manual brakes, a smallblock engine, an 8.25" axle, a 904 transmission. An E-body is heavier...you get a big-block...which adds weight. Then you use a Dana axle...more weight. Well, now you need power steering, power brakes, and a built 727. That big-block makes lots of heat...better grab that 4-core 26" radiator and 7-bladed clutch fan so it won't boil over with the A/C on! By the time you're done, you have managed to put together a 2-ton 'Cuda!
