Anyone else dream of E-Body ownership?

Okay let's look at some raw data...

Mr. A Body and Mr. E Body are hard working guys and at the end of the day both dudes have the same amount of money to spend on their new/old rides that they are buying this weekend.

Mr. A Body goes for a 1972 Duster with a 318 (no need for a 340 car, since he is planning on a Big Block/$900 headers/8.75 rear/sway bars) and according to the Hagerty – Classic Car Price Guide (I randomly picked that website) setting Mr. A Body back...$8,371

Mr. E Body (just to make it easy) goes for a 1972 Plymouth Barracuda with a 318 (again since he craves a big block) and that set him back...$25,970 (again Hagerty's numbers to make it fair)

So now Mr. A Body still has $17,599 left in his bank account (the difference between the cost of the two vehicles) while Mr. E Body is now having a Mopar Garage Sale to fund his big block/Hemi obsession.

So I am thinking Mr. A Body can get started on his upgrades right away, while his friend Mr. E Body is going to be rolling around with a 318 Barracuda for a while.

Don't get me wrong I love E Body Cudas and I love their plastic panel interiors but the title of this post was..."Anyone else dream of E-Body ownership?"

I would take a Cuda if someone wanted to give me one, but I can think of a number of other Mopars I would probably pick first. A 1967 GTX, 1966/1967 Chargers and 1967-1969 Barracudas would be higher on my list, probably not high on yours.

Also I love Corvettes and Porsches, they are nice to look at, but I really don't care if I ever own one.

So I will leave the convertible tops, shaker hoods, pistol grips, rubber bumpers and 426 Hemi to you. If I lived close to you I would love to come by and check out your ride. I bet it's really an awesome car, and I would tell you that, there are not too many Barracudas I don't like...I just don't need to own them.

Well Paul egos aside i wont deny your point on that note, but lets look at the raw data , Us E body owners dont need to buy $ 900.00 headers to put a big block in our cars , we dont need to deal with werdo small bolt wheels , and most E bodys came with 8 3/4 rears and sway bars . Most A bodys do not come with any of these items and need to be added if you wonna put any kind of power under the hood . All mopars are cool in lots of ways , but E bodys are end of the muscle car era and mopar pulled all the stops with these cars . I think you need to find a better argument then E bodys having plastic door panels that make them bad cars .
