727 poly engine transmission

So if I understand your responses correctly, the '66 poly 318 had a 727 with a low-stall converter behind it right?

So any LA or Magnum small block except the '64-'66 273 should bolt right up to the existing '66 trans that is already in the car? So the '64-'66 273 besides having the heads and intake manifold with the exclusive canted intake manifold bolts also had a small register crank? Ok, good thing there are not too many of those motors out there floating around anymore.
