Looks nice!!! Too bad it was a /6.... Prob $10 - $12....I have beed looking for a Demon for over a year... But I want an Org. "H" Code... Might consider yours for $10K... But would have to see more PIC's of completed car.... Interior, undercarrage, engine. Where are you located?

I think you have to weigh the PROs and the CONs whenever you look at these cars.

Also you must consider the state of the US economy (disposable income, actual sales of similar cars, number of bonafide buyers as opposed to wantabes).

This looks lie a car that started out in very good overall condition. So how much actual body work, patching, panel / floor - etc. replacement was involved?

If only the trunk floor is unoriginal - that improves the odds and the price.

On the upgrades made, it is obvious most of the right parts were added. What we don't know from your description of the build is whether the torsion bars, front sway bar and all the rest of the suspension was upgraded to 340 car specs.

On the rear - should we assume this is a Abody 83/4 unit and if yes, what rear brakes are on the car?

On the cooling system, what radiator is used and is a factory fan shroud there?

What materials were used in the paint job - is it single stage enamel, or base/clear?

If the interior has been updated, what was replaced?

What shape is all the glass in the car?

When we have those answers, we will then be able to put a better informed number on the car.

BTW I really like the car and stated same in an earlier response during the resto. steps documented earlier in the resto. thread - I'd like to say I'll take it - but I would need to know all the details previously listed in this response.

All the best with the car and Take care...

I am also in the market for a nice and complete Demon. The one I warned FABO about (http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=264299) was georgous until I saw it on the lift. At least you have a thread showing some of the "before" shots.

I suggest getting some more pics up, including the underside. Nothing worse than having high hopes and being let down after considerable trouble to see the car (with a trailer ready to bring it back).

I believe 12-15 k in this market is probably fair. Although I am sure it probably cost you more than that, to build that nice of a clone. Of course the " experts " will require a 100 point inspection from Galen Govier, and will want the Demon for 7k.

$10-12k. If it wasn't originally a /6 car I could see more, but given that it's a clone I don't think you're likely to get more than $12k for it.

It looks like a great car, always nice to start with something that clean. But the market is lousy, and the big dollars are reserved for cars that are original, numbers matching, rare packages, etc. Don't get me wrong, only two of my cars are matching numbers, and I honestly prefer cars that aren't original and matching because I don't feel bad about using them as daily drivers like I do. But they won't get the big dollars either.

nice car! I say keep it! I personally wouldn't care if it was h code or previous 6 car. Its a very nice car!

I think 80% of people out their now a days don't car so much about numbers, but more so a nice car. Your car looks pretty nice and it's a 4-speed. I think you get 15k. To bad you didn't go a little darker on green or b-5 blue.

depending on your location, and how my taxes come back I would be interested in buying it
I for one do not care about numbers matching, I'd rather have a car that started out as a /6 and has a bunch of new upgraded parts in it then a tired H code car that is still on its first oil filter

if you do decided to sell shoot me a PM and we'll talk

I just realized after I looked through your thread, Rangeley--I've been to the lake near there...have a friend that grew up in S. Paris.

ok first thing you need to do is raise the car maybe 2 inches .,rear and front make it look healthy
I don't know if you have air shocks in it do you have torsion bars in the front?
if so raise that sucker
after doing that
in New York it woud be any weres from 15000 to 17500
in the Midwest say 14000 plus
nice friging car though
good luck

clone or not, no way in hell this car should bring less than $14K in my opinion. The guy prob got double that in the build. Very nice car, be patient and wait for the right person who wants YOUR car !

Looks like you did a good job on the Demon. Don't let people mislead you I sold my 71 Demon 340 clone that had some very unique features that wouldn't appeal to very many people. I asked the same ? here with the same responses any where from 10 - 14 K I sold it for $16,500. Remember you have 3 major things going for you Demon - 340 - 4 speed and yes there's money out there to get just not the stupid money

I like the stance - tires fill the wheel wells pretty good - nice car

I have been looking for a 71 Demon. Preferably an H code. I have seen your car in person, looks great. Lets face it we live in Maine, I believe the only way you will see more than $10-$12 is if it goes out of state. I had my rust free 50K mile LM23P real 340 4 speed (non #s 340) 69 swinger for $15 advertised locally and had many offers of $12-$13. I decided to keep it, no way I can replace it for that.

Thanks for all the comments. I'm not really sure I'm ready to sale yet. I've taken everything that was mentioned here and will weigh my options. I don't need to sale the car It just runs through my head during the winter when it's taking up extra garage space between snowmobiles and ATV's. To answer a few questions the rear is Small Bolt pattern 8 3/4 Sure Grip 3.23 in a 742 Case, A-body rear springs, 72 rebuilt A-Body 833 Non OD Trans, Hurst Comp Plus shift Mech with Hurst Pistol Grip Shifter, 340 Pedals, correct A-body Crossmember. The only rusted part on the car was the Trunk pan as you can see from the restro thread. Paint job is Base/clear. The Scoops are aftermarket. Glass is all original and in very good shape(No scratches). The interior is all original(minus the carpet which is new). Bench seat in the front has a tear on the drivers side. Headliner needs to be replaced along with the seat covers and packing tray(Just haven't got to it yet). 340 is a fresh rebuild 30 over. Did all the work myself with a buddy.
Thanks again for the help with the pricing. I appreciate it.

Sure do wish this was an automatic,I'd be all over it !!! GORGEOUS car you've got there !!!
