Super Bowl Commecials Suck Butt

So does the Broncos!

So does the halftime show! Is that entertainment to anyone? It's just too much f'ing noise to me.
 
I didnt mind the Radio Shack ad, but that was really about it.. Cant stand the "slow" type of commercials, They are suppose to be fun and up beat and funny!

The Half Time show was pathetic as well.
 
It seems the more the ads cost the worse they are. Just because ford shells out millions for there ads DOES NOT meen im gona buy a ford. lol
 
All of it sucks butt. Big dead rotten flea infested snake butts.

They were all pretty lame. The 74 Dodge Dart in the Dylan/ Chrysler ad made up for the rest of them.
 
You would think with the money paid for 30 seconds of attention someone could have come up with something noteable. They may have been the worst commercials I have ever seen. Half time show was about as sorry as could be as well. Lame game, lame commercials, lame halftime show.........
 
Hey...at least you got to watch the ads. I watched the Super Bowl in Rota, Spain and the only commercials I saw were AFN PSA's. Consider yourself lucky. For those that have never seen them, here's an example........

these commercials play over and over. They range from "not shopping at the Commissary on an empty stomach" to "sexual assault is bad". FML
 
The worst batch of commercials ever, and congratulation to the Sea Hawks, They Romped over the Broncos as I enjoyed Gumbo and wings with family members as a ice storm then snow covered the roads here, I was the lucky one that did not loose electricity over night here in Arkansas
 
new generation in the advertising industry just came out from behind their xbox and only think themselves are funny and creative!!!
 
The Coca-Cola commercial singing the National Anthem in different languages was over the top in my opinion. I found it utterly repulsive and will never buy Coke products again.
The National Anthem of the United States is sung in just one language and that is English - just like the national anthem of every other country on earth is sung in their native language.
 
I liked the Audi commercial with the dog, and the Bud commercial with the dog and the Horses, and the Bud commercial with the returning soldier. It was filmed in the Winter Park area, in my daughter's neighborhood, and my son (a news camera man was there, too, filming.

I didn't watch the Superbowl, though, the commercials were on a few nights ago presented as a show unto themselves. How sick is that?
 
i am not a big football guy but i do watch the super bowel for the commercials. have to say that i thought the majority of the ads were just average - considering their $4million cost per ad. two ads struck me for different reasons - i liked the bud ad with the horses defending their "bud" the little puppy. i DID NOT like the multi-cultural coke ad with "america the beautiful" being sung in various languages. the idea of "america" being a "melting pot" where immigrants embaced becoming "an american" is now changing to "i'm from some other country but i just live in america." all the politically correct crowd will eventually destroy this country by forcing the idea that americans are really not "one" united people comprised from a collection of various people but simply a lose collection of different cultures. a country such divided cannot last long. i'm pretty sure i have purchased my last coke product. oh, i do have to ad an honorable mention and appreciation for bob dylan doing the chrysler ad - even if ironically, "mopar" is now italian owned.

Umm, that's NOT the national anthem. It's "America the Beautiful", which again, is NOT the national anthem. It wasn't even written until 1895, and it has only recently (after September 11th) been played before sporting events. But only in addition to the national anthem. It has absolutely no special designation, and can be sung, or not sung, in any language whatsoever.

And since almost every person in this country is here by way of immigration at some point, I don't see the problem. My ancestors didn't all speak English. And I bet not all of yours did either...

Yea, yea, I know I misspoke. It doesn't change the principle behind my comment one bit. The National Anthem or America the Beautiful were not meant to be sung in different languages, period. What ever the hell my ancestors were or yours were, you can bet they sang it in English. My wife was offended and she's a naturalized citizen.
 
The whole thing was a waste of time. Crappy game, crappy ads...
Who really gives a **** about a halftime show anyway????

Oh yeah.... That Coke ad pissed me off too. I would have been totally fine with the immigrants singing the words in broken English. At the very LEAST, it would show that they were trying to learn the language.
 
It was a commercial that included a song that has absolutely no special designations, protections, laws, or even any particularly longstanding traditions regarding the manner, or language, in which it is sung. It is simply a song about America- it is not our National Anthem, and it does not have any kind of protected status.

Why, exactly, is it offensive for people who speak languages other than English to sing about the beauty of America in their native language? They're paying respect to our country, and you're mad because it isn't in English? :dontknow:

Coca cola sucks! This is America! that excuse for god Bless America shows a need for a revolution in the making! When I was a kid, you learned English or you stayed home. Period!
