im wondering what manual transmissions if any came out on the 225 3.7 slant six? right now I have automatic column shift and I think it would be awesome to have a 3 or 4 speed in the floor if it was available. I wouldn't want a ''on the tree'' setup just because I don't like the idea of it lol. but anyways just wondering if there were any people on here who have done a auto to manual tranny swap in the floor.

I'm doing an auto on the column to a 4 speed in my 65 Dart wagon. I had a donor vehicle which makes it so much easier.

Go to brewersperformance.com. I was referred to their site from here when I converted my Duster from three on the floor to the A833 four-speed transmission. Mine required a bell housing swap because the 3-speed bell housing doesn't have the correct bolt pattern. I don't know all the details involved with going from auto to manual, but Brewers will be great place to start. My set up came with everything needed to install the new tranny at right about $2K.

nearly 1/2 of the A bodies made were /6 standard, most common transmission is A833 NON O/D

A few guys over on .org have done a T5 swap. I may attempt one after my car is back together.

Most use an aluminum mult-pattern bellhousing with a flat adapter plate, and some kind of hydraulic TO bearing. The s-10 version of the T-5 has a forward shifter position that works better for some cars (less tunnel cutting).
