I've decided to sell my '65 b'cuda. I haven't driven it much in the last couple years and I'd like to get out from under some debt - so hopefully somebody wants her. It's basic slanty Barracuda. Manual steering & brakes, aftermarket radio w/CD player, stock and mostly original interior, very solid underpinnings and a decent outer shell. It's an original bright red car. Floor shift auto, currently has a 170 that runs ok but has some issues. Car has 110K or so - engine's not original so no clue on that. Car's been resprayed and there's some filler, and some rust is coming through. I've driven it daily when I needed to. It has a 3.23 7 1/4 that I went through a few years ago. Also detailed it, did the brakes comepletly, rear U joint, and added a couple leaves to the spring pack. It's been converted to dual field alternator, a dual master cylinder, and has a HD V8 stock type starter. Distributor has been recurved but I never broke open the carb. It runs really good for what it is. Fuel tank was replaced by previous owner but I think the float isn't great because the gage doesn't read right or consistently. It needs the front end completely rebuilt, and as I said the engine has some issues: low oil pressure in hot weather after highway blasts, a rocker that is worn badly and ticks, etc. The turn signal cancel doesn't cancel and the dimmer in the headlight switch can be iffy if you try to adjust the intensity too much. Headliner isn't great but isn't falling out either. The exhaust is going and should be replaced.
There's a variety of ways to get it: as is, with everything fixed, with a replacement 225, a hopped up 225, a small v8, body and paint done, etc. Price will depend on the level of "done" and what parts you want on it. I have all the '65 V8 parts except the 4bbl intake and valve covers - that includes the '65 cable shifted A904. I do have the correct AFB carb and air cleaner but it's a marine intake I have for it. My "as is" asking price is $5000 or make an offer. I can do everything you might want - so here's the chance to spec your own car. I can provide references and pics for all work you might want done. Send me an email address for more pics.
Thanks
Dave

Yup - black interior - all factory except the silver paint on the gage cluster. Notice it's not detailed for sale...lol. Sorry for the dirt, the box of grinding wheels, and sofener sheets for the mice...

Bump.
If you're interested but want something personalized - it's in the garage now to start body work and paint.
