I have searched a number of threads but cannot find reference to a self leveling seam sealer which comes complete with dispenser / applicator doo-dad.

I am looking for 2 - part epoxy type preferably thick as molasses but still self leveling.

Doing my drip rails. I cleaned them out with thin wire wheel, sand blasted them bare and epoxied them. So they are ready for sealer.

Thank you!

1968, how would a person get the stuff out of the tube?

Does it have a push piston? It looks like I still would need an apparatus to push / dispense the product..

Maybe I was not clear enough. I prefer not to buy a 50 - 150 (actually the basic dispenser for this product is 200+) dollar manufacturer specific "caulk gun" on top of the price of the product. I am guessing that for even distribution and "flow" I am going to have to get a "system" including the "caulk gun".

If that is the case, what is the most economical way to get this seam sealer application accomplished?

Thank you.

One thing you could try is going to a local body shop and asking if you could rent one or buy a used one. I know at my shop we have at least 10 of the damn things laying around.

Yeah, you're looking at $50+ for one of those dual piston guns. I can also tell you that trying to dispense the product through a mix tip without the proper gun is a bad idea.

As suggested, I'd look into borrowing or renting one from a shop. I have a friend in the supply biz and he was able to hook me up when I've needed one. By the way, I've tried different products and found Lord Fusor #129 worked best for me on the drip rail.

I have a SEM gun and FYI they won't work with all twin tubes.

I did mine with Epoxy and no seam sealer.

Well, this got reviews that I can live with. Mostly complaints about it being runny.

Any opinions or alternate suggestions of similar setup?

Whether a one or two part product, if it's at all runny you will not have a good experience - trust me.

Jos suggested I try to get a deal some how. I have a friend works for 3m in another industry. Now, I am trying to get him to get me a deal on a dispenser. The basic unit is 55 bucks + shipping which seems astronomical so I shall see what the result is from the "bro deal" angle.

I appreciate all the responses.
