What does 'Survivor Car' Mean?

if the damn thing is still on the road running and driving , obviously it has survived . if the thing has rotted into the ground, sitting in a yard somewhere in a million pieces or been crushed , it has not survived. the whole thing is ridiculous. any one that has a car that runs has survived in one way or another
