your Mopar's story

72' Demon

I bought it just over two years ago from a cool dood, contractor, who obtained it from an older gentleman who had the car for over 15 years. the gentleman needed his home painted and the dood gave him a quote but the gentleman didn't have enough cash on hand for the job. noticing the Demon in the driveway the dood asked about it and it became part of the deal. he brought it home, yanked the 318/904 out and purchased a Mopar crate motor from Summit Racing, he lives 10 miles from Summit, along with a new trans/converter, hooker headers, holley carb. and all of the hoses belts etc to do a motor change.
3 years and 3000 miles later he got back into the mustang scene, yeah i know, and wanted to sell the Demon for garage space for his new vert gt ford something who cares and didn't want to put the Demon outdoors.
i saw the CL ad and after several emails and a phone call or two we struck a deal. i sold a car to a buddy and delivered it to him in GA, then drove 80 miles north and picked up the Demon along with TONS of NIB parts he gave me with the car like TTI coated headers, Mopar door handles, all emblems side marker lights etc to replace after paint. tons of new interior parts too, carpet with matting, door plates ect., it also came with an complete a body 8.75 from a 70 340 duster.
My plan was to swap in the 8.75, rebuild the front end then tear it down for new paint, interior, stripes and install the TTI's but in the two plus years i've had it i have done nothing to it but drive it :) i can't stop driving it :D
i'll get her done once i have me conquest finished which should be within a couple months.
