That is true... except the NHRA classes that dictate that a class has a specified amount of weight per cubic inch.

Like, say a BB/A T... Blown B Altered/turbo)

I don't remember the weight break (and am too lazy to go look it up, but for this discussion, it's unimportant) let's say it is 7 pounds per cubic inch:

The 170 slant six will have to weigh (7 X 170) 1,190 pounds.
The 300-inch Ford Six will have to weigh (7 X 300) 2,100 pounds.

With the Ford carrying over 900 pounds more weight than the MOPAR, which one do you think will win?

In this case, engine efficiency is the substitute for cubic inches...:cheers:


No way will that Ford ever match that 170 in a per-cubic-inch basis because the little 170 can probably stand 40 pounds of boost. Try that with the Ford and I'd bet it would blow sky high!
