Hey fellas,
I have a 1974 dodge dart. I recently installed a alterkation rack ( https://www.reillymotorsports.com/store/product.php?productid=16176&cat=268&page=1 ) and pinion set up into it and bought a new 440, the issue I am having is that the sump dose not clear the steering rack. I was wondering if any one knows of a good sump I could use to clear it, like a rear pick up one?

Was thinking of something like this

http://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/mil-31015/overview/make/chrysler

Here is the engine with the sump on it

And this is how close it sits to the k frame and steering rack mounts (minus the rack because it doesn't fit)

If anyone can help would be good.
Cheers

Yep, Charlies, just tell him its for the AlterKation with a big block. I had one made up for mine nice pan fits great but aint cheap. I went right to Charlies oil pans for it.

I'm not sure how much the Charlie's pan cost but I worked at Moroso and Canton and they both made rear sump pans for big block Mopars and I've seen Milodon rear sump pans also. They're not unusual so you could probly get a production pan for a reasonable cost.

Cheers heaps for all the replies!!! I got in contact with Charlie and he has what Iam after, ordered one last night. They are about 450 USD, still good value for the quality compaired to what is available in Australia!!!

Hey guys I have a stock 74 dodge dart 318.
Is this supose to be a rear or front sump?

I needed a rear sump for the clearance of the after market k-frame. If that's what you mean.

Also I do not recommend using a Charlie oil pan. Bad customer service

Hey no sorry I was wondering for the stock k frame and steering linkage. Is it suppose to be a front sump?
