Sweet, definitely bad *** looking Mopar...absolutely love it but out of reach right now...good luck with the trade/sale...
Thanks rbdart, I do really like it also, it was a great driving car when I had it on the road every day about 5 years ago now. It had some problems that I needed to take care of to make it
nicer for daily transportation. Headliner, glass rubbers, a fresh interior and roof paint.
Still need to finish the labor part of this, about 3/4 done, have bought all the parts.
This car got more complements and smiles from those that saw it everywhere I went than
even my plum crazy Cuda.
I didn't really think that was possible. A lot of folks even car guys had to check it out because they didn't know what it was. But knew it wasn't a Chevy.
The factory color is called irredesent plum over black. Of course this car is faded beyond shine from age. I always liked the color combination on this one. Has a more masculine look than the pinks and turquoise cars of the same year and model.
The photo doesn't show it because it was removed at the time to paint the roof and install new headliner and glass seals but it has a very nice stainless visor over the windshield that really makes the roof line so much cooler than the chevys that are all so popular and recognized.
Keep it in mind I may still have it when your ready for another Mopar. When you tell people you have a Desoto you get mostly yuk type reactions. But when they see the car
most say they like it better than the other cars they have seen from the 50s. I do believe this is one of the better looking desoto years. Desoto was the pace car in 56.
Well that's all the typing I can handle right now, got any questions feel free to ask
I know this car well as I rebuilt it myself. Had body off its frame to sandblast , paint
and rebuild chassis.
