Slot car guys?

This is too funny that I would find this thread. An old friend of mine that I raced 1/8 scale nitro offroad with 5-6 years ago contacted me out of the blue asking for me to join him as a birthday present at the slot car dragway. You might think Im speaking of an early teen, but in fact, its was his 56th birthday!

I joined him and hung out all night. He has 12 of these cars, and he let me use one to enter. He knows Im a Mopar fan, so he gave me a great looking flat black '72 Cuda to run with. Well I had a blast and wound up winning $47 for quick light of the night. While at first I found it to be a little boring, I warmed up to it a little and find myself scouring the internet looking to buy a mopar drag slot of some type.

I have no idea what Im doing though, so I'm doing some reading on motors, because I dont want to start out in the middle or bottom of the pack, I want to have something thats on the faster side of the bunch :)

So while I havent found my car yet, Im soon to be into it full swing.
for entry level I'd get a Parma Edge group 20 chassis that's ready to go and buy some Protrack tires and a Mopar plastic model..
