Nice ride! I did however spit one out a couple weeks ago. Guy got the jump on me by surprise in front of me at a red light. I hit it , changed lanes at blew right by him. Difference is he continiued on his journey to NY......... I had to get more fuel! Lol

A couple of them were at the track yesterday "Barona", best they could get in the 1/8th was 8.0 with drag radials.

I too will at some point get out of the old car game and buy a new one. Would be a GT 500 mustang if it was today 662hp model.... Heldcat challenger if it happens later..650+ HP they say.

It's a sweet ride no doubt. Goes fast enough to kill ya and drive it anywhere. Can not argue that fact. Be careful, you gotta worry about tickets on a daily basis now!

You got A Newwww Carrrrr!

That's a nice one...many of us have never owned a brand-new car of any make, [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQ0BXUkzRqM"]Price is Right - A NEW CAR! - YouTube[/ame]

Congrats!

Congrats on the car and the kid! You did good! You wouldn't be able take the kids with you in the Mustang when they get a little bigger. lol

I have a 2012 Rallye Redline Challenger and I love it! Due to all the Mustang lovers/Challenger haters I actually drove a Shelby Mustang 'vert before buying the Challenger. Ummmm, no thanks, I'll take the Dodge.

Just gotta be careful, these cars go so fast so easily, you can be in trouble before you realize it. :burnout:

not to hi-jac, but was looking at new dodge p/u`s yesterday, and saw two 3/4 tons w/ 6.2 hemi`s in them. ask the salesman if they had a 1/2 ton short - wide w/ the 6.2 , and he said no. when they offer it, I`m going to buy one, holding out till then!------bob:wack:

Congrats on your new Challenger. I'm sure you will enjoy it! tmm

contrats on the car and baby!

fyi my dad modified the mounting on the front plate on his SRT challenger so its between the bumper and lower valence, looks good in IMO, but we have this thing in my family where we don't like our cars to have the bumper drilled for a license plate.

Fat or not, I love them and so does the wife! It's too bad Kansas rapes you on sales tax and property tax on vehicles, making owning a car like that REALLY expensive here. I just had to pay $1800 to get the title switched over and only 3 months worth of tags on my truck. So ridiculous. But anyhow, back on subject here. Sweet ride. I won't show the Mrs cause then she'll be begging for one too!

that's debatable (thankfully). Not saying the Camaro is nicer ('cause it's fugly) but there is one of the other two I think looks better:D

congrats though- sure it'll be lots of fun

You are really going to like it.
I have a 2012 RT 6-speed and it will get you in trouble fast.
Plus the car is quiet and comfortable, the biggest down fall is when you have to back up, you cant see anything, literally the whole *** of the car is a blind spot, so be careful.

Nice car, Been wanting to do the same thing. Having a hard time choosing another a body or going newer Srt. Nice

congrats on the core car,,,, i was looking for that option before fiat offered it,,, so i ended up with an R/T classic,,, got a ton of creature comforts i would not of gotten or ordered if i had the chance to get a core car,,, but im now use to the options,,, was offered a great deal to trade it already on a left over core,,, but its just a driver dont need all the extra horse power,,,may not be the fastest but best looking out of the 3,,, and plenty of room other option would have been a boss,,,congrats enjoy it,,,

Thanks man. I almost went with the Blacktop RT 6 speed. It was freaking nice and was 29k. But I have been wanting the challenger since they came out and figure what the hell if I have a payment might as well get the SRT8. They dropped the price from 43 to 40k it has nav and a few other things. Plus I put 10k down so that helped get the payments down and a good interest rate.

Always a option I look for when I am buying a new car.

I am with 95teetee and I agree with your "fat pig" reference but taste is in the beholder..

If ya lov it, go for it ...

Very nice. I so wanted one of those but my kids are a bit older and needed a little more rear seat room since it is the wife's daily driver. Wound up with a Charger R/T Road and Track edition. Not as much power as the SRT but still enough to leave evidence of "excessive acceleration".
