Am I the only one that likes this look? I know some of you purists may hate the idea but I think its really growing on me!

LOVE it. We're in the minority, but who cares?

It is excellent.

If I can get 18" x9 or 20" x9 tuff *** looking rims and tires under my duster with the right backspacing, I will very much be doing just that.

I understand it's merits but it just looks awkward to me. I still like cars jacked up high enough to fit N 50's underneath. Even though I know it makes the drive like crap. Just the way I remember how the cool cars looked back in the day.

17 inch is about the biggest I'll go to. Tires that size are affordable and there is a huge selection of sizes. I accept 18's but it only depends on the style, I don't like most.

That said I still prefer 15 inch but only by a slight margin over the 17's.
Never been and never will be a fan of 20, 22 and 24 inch rims.

But to each his own.

Love it.....love traditional too but the modern take really pushes the boundaries of what these cars can evolve into.

Awesomeness....

That's called the Pro Touring look. Yes, I really like it. I like a lot of different build styles. As long as the build is done cleanly, and the theme is carried out throughout the car. I like the OE Gold stock restored cars as well as the Pro Touring.

Wow! Thanks for all the input!

I am torn on how I want things to go for my Dart. I am leaning on the idea of 17's possibly black, a mild drop and some suspension upgrades. I agree 100% that anything over 20" on these cars look ridiculous! We'll leave that to the 'donks' SUV's and baller trucks.

to each his own-I like all things Mopar well except if someone puts 40's all the way around that's where i draw the line,That first Duster just looks mean and is screaming come get me!!!!!! Steve

only thing that has changed is the tire aspect ratio. Put some 15-G's under that and it would still have the same stance. Its a package look. I like the understated rims, in chrome that would look a little off.

I love the modern look that demon is on of my favorites. But i also like the traditional look. I want a car with the modern look and updated chassis for handling and a car with the traditional more drag look. I guess im going to have to buy more mopars so i can one of every style lol.

This is a members car. This is my inspiration for my Dart. It's got 18's in front and 20's in the rear. I love everything about this car...

a 15" rim would have too much sidewall for that look in my opinion.

I like the pro touring look as well but the lower the profile on the tire the higher the pressure.......... I was out on the 40 heading from DC to so cal and while heading thru Texas
Witnessed a chevelle SS pro touring have a blow out at 85mph. Luckily I was far enough back I was able to maneuver the fully loaded truck out of the way.....
The front tire exploded once he hit some sort of road debris. The rim was demolished and the reminence of the tire smacked the lower side panels and screwed up the high end paint job. Luckily he was able to keep control somewhat and not roll the car. I stopped to check if they were ok and needed assistance. Called AAA for them as they were members. Sucks being out in the middle of nowhere without a spare rim or tire......

Beautiful ride. Even the 20's out back don't look bad.

Like the stance.

I guess I'm in the old school category. Big wheels on the older Mopars look to "Hood Rat" to me.

Love it, as long as its done "right". Like the Demon that's posted at the beginning of the thread. Or all the cars posted so far really.

But with larger rims you definitely have to put some work into getting the whole package to look right, you just can't toss on a 18's and expect it to look good. Biggest thing I think is setting the ride height up correctly, next is making sure you get the right aspect ratio on the tires so they're the right height. If you can keep the tires around 26" tall (or even a little taller in the back), things look pretty good.

The Demon looks awesome, but even it could have done better. It has 245/35/18's in the front and 335/30/18's in the back. The back is about right on at 25.9" tall, but the front tires are only 24.7" tall. With a 245/40/18 up front it would have come it at 25.7" tall, and the extra sidewall would have matched it up with the rear and improved the look a bit. At least in my opinion. But then they'd have needed to raise the rear end a smidge to keep the rake correct. It definitely gets complicated to set everything up right.

Hopefully I'll have my 18's on my Duster here in the next couple of weeks. I'll post it up so you guys can decide how I did. :D

Love it, I have 18's all the way around on my Cuda and love it. The only thing i would change is a tallerr sidewall on my fronts.

I'm positive I don't like it. That Demon looks like it would have some front tire clearance issues....Is that photo-shopped?
