1967 383 ~ "Which Came First" ~ The Barracuda or Dart GTS
The book you pictured above was from November 67 so the 383 Darts had been out for 9 months by then. I would like to see a book dated before the first known 383 Darts were made to see what it says.

There are no actual publication or copyright dates in the book.
The dates I am going by are in the Comparisons section of the book.
On the top right hand corner of pages 105 and 106.
"Manufactures' suggested retail prices (in effect November 25, 1966)"
Why would a 1967 "Training/Sales aid" book for 1967 models be printed in November of 1967 ? The 1968 models had already been introduced.
I have the black and white Press Photos from Dodge Public Relations for the 1968 Dodge Cars.
I sure wish I had a scanner so I could post them.
The Promo photos and press releases for the 1968 models have release dates from "ON or After 2 P.M. Wednesday, August 30, 1967 to "ON or After September 10, 1967.

For Release On or After 6 P.M. Friday, September 8, 1967.

For Release On or After Sunday, September 10, 1967.
The photos all state that the cars "will go on display in Dodge dealerships on September 14th"
Therefore I believe this book was printed in late November or early December of 1966.
