Did you guys waterjet those hinges? What size gas struts did you use? I'm in the process of getting to that point where I need to get the shocks.

What we did was got the shape that we wanted our hinge to be then we cut them out with our band saw. To get the holes you see in them we don't have a cnc mill so we just made them out of three pieces and welded them together. The center of the hinge is made out of 1/4 in plate and the two on the outside are made out of 1/8 plate. We drilled the holes in the 1/8 plate and then welded all of them together. If you don't want the circles in there all you would have to do it make one out of 1/2 in plate. As far as the struts go The rate of the shocks are 300 per side. We got them from LST in Saskatoon, SK. The Part number for the shock is c19-14-1350n. He can put any style end on them as well.
 
Here is the valve covers. We took a set of custom late model Hemi valve covers modified them and then retrofitted a set of early Hemi plug wire covers.

We got the tank installed and the cover for the gas tank made and put on.

Probably because they're busy doing real work instead of acting like the kind of a$$ clowns that get reality TV shows.
 
Thanks to Brian Stupski for the kick *** rendering on the front end. The front bumper has been boxed on the back side and will supply air to the air box that will be located under the driver side headlight.

By the time this project is all said and done it will be between 8000 and 9000 man hours.

At first I couldn't comprehend the amount of man-hours involved in a project like this, but after paying attention and doing some research, I'm sorry I doubted you! Keep up the great work and thanks again for sharing!

No need to apologize. I know that it is hard to comprehend that kind of hours in a vehicle.
 
Most people that don't do fabrication and body work don't seem to understand how long it takes to build a car and the amount of enginuity that goes into a custom build. That's why I encourage people to actually try to do or help someone that knows what they are doing modify something aside from stock so they can realize how long it takes to build a car. People ***** and moan when they get want to get extensive body and paint work done not realizing the man hours it takes to do the job RIGHT
 
We changed the shape of the door jam to accommodate the new door latch set up.

subscribed.....top build....I already had many ideas for the 62 Plymouth Valiant I'm building, but this build has finalised many points for me! someone wrote 8000hrs & $40....surely you don't charge that little?
