Hey everyone! I've been catting around in the shadows long enough, and thought I should officially become a member and partake along with all of you on FABO!

Me:
I will be 30 this summer, I have a wife and a daughter. I am an electrician, I can't leave anything "original", and I enjoy doing CAD architecture.

My Ride:
I have a 1974 Duster. Sadly enough, it's reletively stock. (hopefully not for too long) My father and I did a full resto about 13 years ago when I was in HS, so with this car comes a boat load of memories. This car and I are tied together for life. I love "A" bodies, they're light and with the right modifications, can be bad ***. But, I'm not in love with my "A"....so what can we do about that? lol I do know what direction I would like to see her head, now it's a matter of doing it.

Welcome aboard, and cant wait to see how your 74 Comes along! :D

Was that you looking in my window last night!! Just kidding- welcome to the BEST mopar site in the world

:blob:

Welcome! No matter what direction you choose to go to restore your love for your Duster, this is the place that just may help get that spark going.

The car is already restored, just in need to be brought to this decade

ya they're ok i guess.... but that is the car in a nutshell...it's the only pictures i have on my computer at the moment. I HATE HATE HATE the bumpers. if anyone has an earlier model hood and bumpers they want to sell, i'm looking. I am bouncing around making my own grill.

Which one is you?
just kidding!
What does the duster have in it for a powertrain?

She has a 318 under the hood for the time being. I have a '69 340 sitting on an engine stand right now....i'm waiting to decide if I want to freshen the 340 up, or possibly find a late model fuel injected 360 or 5.7.

The bottom line is have fun with it!
I would put the 340 in that you have, because you have it......

Gawd yall are wrong! I need new friends lol!

Welcome to the forum agent orange. I love your car!

Sweet ride!Welcome! Lots of folks here would kill to have a car that's "done"
I've got a 360 mpfi motor in my 73 Duster, but if I had a 340 that's what would be in there. The only "problem" I have with it is that tires only last 2,000 miles ;)
Personally I'd keep the stock exterior and spend $$ on the handling and interior upgrades. Lots of folks doing pro-touring builds these days.

She's beutiful! the car's nice too...
Welcome. Now stop lurking! You don't have to be needing something or doing anything to participate.

Welcome aboard from another Hoosier.
Shouldn't all dusters be orange? 340,yes.

I agree with you 85%.... "pro touring" is the direction she is heading, but I have a couple ideas in my back pocket that I will eventually put into affect. For interior, exterior and handling (not exactly in that order)
