man thats a tough question, i have had both. currently a 66, and previously several 67-76 a-bodies. for me a 71 duster 340 with the dual hood scoops is as good as it gets.

Could you show us in print some information on the 240 and 255 horse engines. I've never heard of them. tmm
 
Can't really explain it, I had a 68 Dart GT vert for 10 years, great car but sold last summer. Picked up a 64 Valiant vert a couple of years ago while I still had 68, had for just over a year then sold. After selling my 68 went thru a 63 Fury vert, sold that then found a 65 Dart GT vert that I'm now updating this winter. My one son looked at 65 Dart and asked what was I thinking? Something about the 64 Valiant & 65 Dart that are just a little bit quirky & odd. What else can I say........... :)
 
Early A's are my favorite but I like them all. There are several late A's I would love to have.
 
I like the early ones better even though I only have a later one at this point..i have had 3 64 - 66 barracudas and a 66 valiant and just think they are cooler looking I won a lot of races in my 66 barracuda with a built 273 and 456 gears with the 4 speed , I do like my 340 duster though and after pounding on it some this summer I mat change my mind,,,,no
 
Early A's particularly the '65's. You can see that I'm somewhat biased! LOL

Me also, I used to think the 63-66 a bodies and b bodies were ugly. Now I actually like them.

My first car was a 71 duster with 22,000 miles on it. Butterscotch, 340, twister package. It was loaded. Wish I still had it.

I like the 70/71 dusters, 67-69 darts, my 66 dart is still growing on me. I like it because it is different, with the one year front end.

I guess the poll needed another option- BOTH!
 
Definitely the later A-Bodies is my choice.
I always thought the earlier ones were kinda funky.
I guess that's what the appeal is though, coming from a '73 and up A-Body lover......
 
I like the middle A's - 2nd generation first, then 1st generation next.

The 67-68 Barracuda fastbacks are my favorite a-body.

Next it the 64 1/2 - 66 Barracuda.
 
I voted late A but the 66 Val's have MAJORLY grown on me!! I currently have a 72 Duster (which is one of my dream cars) but someday I might buy a 66 Val as I LOVE the front ends on em!
 
It seems I'm drawn to 66 Valiants and Cuda's! No explanation as to why , just like em!! I'm partial to anything Mopar, and also have 67's, but for some reason....
 
Have always had the 67 and newer over the years. I like them due to the bb is a easy option.
The older I get the more I want to pick up a early A-body. I'm not sure I can pick a favorite Mopar. Depends on my mood. Kind of like how can you pick a favorite song. Different answer for different day. That's why I have too many.
