pick a part find

Wow. I can only imagine how much attention that would draw at shows.

Funny it didnt sell for a grand prior to being parted and suddenly its worth dumping alot of cash into to save.

Look what I found at pick a part. 1963 valiant right hand drive diesel engine. I believe a perkins not sure and standard shift on the column.

Nothing for nothing, not trying to offend anybody here, we all have opinions right? Well in my opinion the 60 to 63 valiants and lancers were butt ugly. Theres a reason you dont see em anymore. And i personally wouldent be caught dead in one of those things. Anybody in the military has heard of BCGs or birth control glasses, those cars are the birth control car to go along with the birth control glasses. What makes it worse is with a diesel its probably a gutless wonder. Mebbe some of y'all like these real early A bodies, mebbe its the homely puppy syndrome, and i guess thats ok for some. But personally i think ole virgil exner was probably on some illegal substance when these were deemed sexy enough for the american public.however i am kind of curious as to production figures of these just to see how many people actually kidded themselves into buying a BCG car LOL. My vote is with the wife let that horrid thing go into the bustbin of history. The pix of these horrid things burning into my retinas are plenty.

I like the body lines, especially the swept line at quarter panels over the wheel well.
There's a 62 Dart vert that comes to our local cruise-ins ( black w/red guts ). Stunning vehicle.

Like they say, Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

The right paint and the right wheels and suddenly the styling looks really cool.

62 valiant's aren't all bad--

mad max has.had an extremely fast one. Lawrence

Rare does = valuable

Cool old car some history would be interesting

But really a 4 door RHD diesel, would be for a collector with deep pockets that liked odd ball cars.

the wife's back, so were going to try and purchase the car from pick a part whole, traditional they don't, so alittle sweet talkin is necessary.

will be purchasing to add to our collection!

Well now, that is very nice of the wife!!!! Keep us posted on the SWEET TALKIN!!! Oh yea, and the car.

Had to go back and reread what I posted

What I forgot to put

Rare doesn't always = high dollar collectible

Have a 1981 Imperial it was 19,700 new, have paper work when mom got it

15,300 miles and book value is $6,000 been there the last 20 years, 2 people have to want it to be valuable

The problem with low production cars is they were not popular new so in some cases not popular as collectible.

Someone posted a picture of Jay Leno. Yeah, that would be his kind of cars. He has plenty of odd ball stuff

I kind of like the strange looks. But would never spend the money to buy one
