Selling parts and lack of manners.

The OP started this conversation with the term "common courtesy", so I guess we are discussing etiquette and manners. In the old days that basically meant to be polite and treat everybody with the same respect that you would want for yourself.

I was raised to open doors for ladies. Wherever I am, if there's a lady about to enter or leave the building, I will stop what I'm doing and hold the door for her. If it's a crowded building, I might hold the door for a few moments before another guy behind me takes the position for me. It's "common courtesy" and I do it instinctively. But this post got me to thinking:

What would I do if some woman was to stop before I had a chance to open the door and yell at me:

"HEY! Aren't you going to GET THE DOOR FOR ME??? I'm a LADY!!! What happened to COMMON COURTESY???"

I believe that I would probably ignore all the etiquette that I was taught and suggest that she go F#*k herself!

My point is that courtesy should be APPRECIATED, not DEMANDED. No one owes you any special consideration. If you get it, be happy that you did and remember to deal with that person again.

I had three people ask for shipping charges last month and then never answer back. None of those people bought the part and the parts are all sold. Should I REALLY send a PM a week later when there's a buyer wanting to Paypal me the money now??

Many items on here go very cheap. If you are INTERESTED, BUY IT. When I see something I want, my PM says:
"I want to buy this item now! Please tell me where to send payment or the Paypal address."

IF a person says that to me, I won't sell it to another person without answering his PM. If I don't hear from you in a couple of days, you can't be upset with me that it's gone.

I agree with the other sellers who said that the message "I'm interested" too often does not mean "I WANT TO BUY IT!"
