Staying Motivated

-
I am having troubles getting motivated, but that is partially because it has been so dang cold here talking again -40 to -60 tomorrow with windchills. Even with a heated garage which Im sure can get up to 60*, I just have not been wanting to push the car to the center of the garage and start tearing into some of the issues. Mostly because I have to push the car back to the side so the Fiance can park back in the garage. To make it worse, I have a stack of new parts sitting in boxes waiting for me. Plenty to do, just not motivated to work on it. So I have been building model kits, painting the house and doing little projects here and there.
I got out in the garage the other day(+5 outside)as I was working under the car..on cardboard.A small stream was running in from the big door.no big deal as I have a drain in center of the garage.Wrong,I guess some water had frozen in the drain and it started to pool around the drain.:sad1:Had to get the shopvac out and suck up water.I then went outside and made a dam from snow,to keep water from seeping in under the door.Next day -14 and a foot of snow..today going to +7 again,so will wait for the meltdown to finish.I did get some work done though.LOL

I got a good set of speakers and busted out a 70's stereo for my man cave from a garage sale. Place rocks now and is fun just to play loud music in there while tinkering with car parts.

LOUD Classic Rock keeps the Dart´s build going.

Found some Motivation here too!

Been a nastier winter here in NE Ohio. Cold, snow, ice, more snow, repeat. Finally weather is beginning to break free. Supposed to be upper 50's here today. That said, I've been in house project mode over the winter. I hope to get the barn on that project list this spring so I can finally start seriously working on the car. But so many other things to do...

There are usually several points in any build where you hit a wall where you get discouraged and wonder if it's worth it. Sometimes you wonder if you should just sell it and buy a turnkey car. I've done enough project cars to know that you just have to push through those times and remember all the fun and satisfaction that awaits. You'll always be glad you stuck with it.

We have a good network of Mopar people here in Utah who support each other, share parts and help each other with our different expertise. That helps a lot too.

And, yes watching videos is a great motivator. Attending races and car shows helps too.

Crap. I ended up posting a double because the page hesitated to load on the first one and I redid it sorry everyone. :)
Don't let it happen again!!

I recommend watching some youtube videos of people running their cars hard and having fun- It keeps me motivated.

-that's what I do while battling money and "hey, here take the baby!-blues"

... thinking about investigating whether I can modify an old Chevy SB Hilborn, etc, stack injection setup and convert to EFI.

I love this idea! How did they modify chevy intakes to fit SBM?

I wanted to try this with an edelbrock Dual Quad RPM Air Gap!

Hypothetically, could you weld the aluminum to the heads and attach those (is it AFR?) polymer intake manifolds to a SBM?
(someone will ask why-colder intake fuel/air induction)
