Give us the details (or as much as you care to share).

Engine combo (cam, heads, carb, etc.), compression, car weight, gear, converter, tire, etc.

And yes, power adder vehicles are welcome to be posted too!

Let's hear how you are getting it done without a 4" arm in there

Well since I started the thread I guess I will post a couple

First one

91 LA 360
Junkyard bottom end (New bolts, rings, and bearings, ball honed the walls, all other parts stock), 8.8:1 compression with .028" thin head gaskets, RHS heads as sold by IMM engines, air gap intake, Custom IMM hydraulic roller cam (IIRC it was 230/230 duration at .050, 106 LSA installed on a 101 ICL, .577/.567 lift with hughes 1.6 rockers), 750HP carb, 1-5/8 headers with a 3" x-pipe exhaust and borla xr-1 mufflers, 4.10 gears, 4 speed, 28x12.5 ET streets

Car weighed around 3400lbs with me in it, ran on 87 octane gas ALL THE TIME and went a best of 12.30's at 113mph, but usually went 12.40-12.50's.

Year after, everything stayed the same except
RHS ported by Brian at IMM
Forged SRP pistons (flat tops) and Scat I beam rods, decked block, compression now at 10.25:1 (ran on 94 octane pump gas all the time)
Bigger IMM custom Hydraulic roller cam- 240/248 at .050, .630/.580 lift with 1.6 rockers, 108LSA installed straight up
Timing locked out around 34 degrees total

Went a best of 11.81 at 117mph....Usually went .80's all the time, sometimes 90's. Car was heavy and did not have enough gear with the stick (I had to drive it the 2 hour drive to the track so 4.10's had to work....4.56 would have helped for sure)

our current "backup plan" which has always served us well. 950 cfm barry grant 4150 carb, Ebrock Victor 340 intake, 273 rocker arms, iron MP heads with small stem chebby valves (1.96I, 1.6E) .547I/.554E 256@.050 on the bump stick, stock 360 block, stock rods, KB pistons, stock stroke 360 crank.....forged this time around. We ran the cast crank for a long time, but a crack developed. best pass has been a 10.91. That was at an altitude track with a 904 trans and 9" Dynamic converter and 4.56 gear. Latest pass with the 727, 8" converter and 4.3 gear which worked great with our 9 sec W5 mill...... and not so good with this engine, has been a 10.98 in Vegas.

First one: 318, don't know the year of the block, crank out of a D600 truck, rods out of another 318 when they still used bushed rods, Sealed Power cast rebuilder pistons, rota-tor not balanced, angle milled 360 heads, 2.02I, 1.6E valves, Comp XTQ281S-6 cam, E-Brock Torquer II intake, 750 Holley DP, Coan 4800 stall converter, 4.88's on a spool, 275/60x15 M/T drag radials, car weighed 3030 with me in it, ran a best of 12.54 at 108 mph. The car is a 65 Barracuda.

Second one: 360, .030 over KB 107's, SIR rods, balanced internally, MP .557 cam, M1 single plane intake, Hughes ported Edelbrock heads, 1.6 rockers, PTC 5000 stall converter, Caltrac's and Mono leafs, CRT built 904 with low first gear, 4.56's on a spool, Hooser 28x9 slicks, car weight 2950 with me in it. Went 11.10 at 120 mph, still the Barracuda.

That is a good working combo! Wish my stroker had ran that good!

Nice combo's! I like that 318, proves they do have potential

I'll share my hopefully soon to be engine. Having two children has kept the extra cash tied up. Lol

dur @ .020 in 304 ex 314
gross valve lift in .618 ex .600

direct lube lifters
This will be 378 cubic inch with 11.5-1 compression

Here's my stock stroke combo, plus some peripheral specs. I have not had the engine apart so some of the specs are unknown. Pretty old-school, right out of the Mopar Performance recipes. Previous owner from Southern California said it went a best of 11.97 but normally went 12.0.

Static compression ratio somewhere around 10.5:1, or about 180 psi
cranking.

Flat top pistons, not sure which ones.

Milodon stock replacement oil pan, not sure which pickup or pump or if it has a windage tray. PCV hooked up on one side, breather on the other side.

Valvoline ZR-1 20W-50 oil with zinc additive.

810 W2 heads, not sure what size valves. 2.05" intakes I believe. No idea on chamber size, pushrods or valve srpings either. Harland Sharp rockers.

MP .557 cam. Not sure where it's installed or what the lash is set at. Will set lash soon, probably at .024"

Victor W2 intake, no porting.

Proform 750 double pumper w. 74/84 jets, no power valve in front, pink pump cams on #2.

Carter mechanical strip pump #6270 regulated (yes) to 6.5 psi

-6 line

Stock fuel tank, RobbMc pickup with 1/2" inlet stepped down to 3/8"/-6

Blend of Cam2 100 octane unleaded and pump 93.

MP electronic distributor with Firecore HEI cap and wires, 26 degrees initial (13 on plate) + 9 degrees mechanical for 35 degrees total, all in by 2,000 rpm.

MSD 6AL with Carquest/Ford TFI coil

TTi W2 1 7/8 step headers into 3" dual exhaust, Flowmaster 40 series muffs.

Champion RC9YC plugs @ .045"

Mini starter

Pioneer balancer

Aluminum water pump, Griffin aluminum radiator, clutch fan.

"999" 904 variant with low gear set.

B+M Pro ratchet

Hughes 3,500 converter in it, not sure exactly where it stalls at.

Car originally had a 4.30:1 gear in it, now has a 4.10:1.

28" drag radials, not sure where P.O. had them set at the track.

Car originally had S/S springs with a snubber, now has Caltracs

Frame connectors, offset springs, no roll bar

Shifts at 7,000 rpm, 6,800 through the traps per P.O.

I have not raced it myself yet but I think it can do a little better than 12.0. Over the last year I took some weight out of the car, replaced all the worn out parts and made some upgrades. Hope to see consistent mid-11s.
