ATTN TTi OWNERS! MUST READ!

-
my car is garaged, but i polish then once a year,i also spray them down with wd-40 as it sits over the winter

also if i spend $800.00 on headers im doing everthing possible to keep them looking new

Same here. TTI ceramic coated inside n out. I lay several sheets of plastic on the garage floor during the winter months to eliminate moisture from the concrete. This is mentioned with the TTI paraphanalia. A good polishing w/mothers mag wheel polish 2x a year as well.

This is what I've heard to do as well. Keep them from getting exposed to moisture so lay down sheets of plastic or coat the floor.

Bad news update on these. Jet Hot didn't prep the insides of the tubes well or something. I picked them up out of the closet (mind you these have been sitting in an air conditioned house for about a year and never installed) and a bunch of particles of the ceramic coating fell out. I couldn't believe it. Made a mess all over the carpet too. I ran my finger on the turns on the inside and you could tell they were bare and rusty. They were smooth where the coating was but then other areas were rough and surface rust was coming off on my fingers. I called them up today and of course they had no excuse for it so now they are going back to OKC to be recoated, AGAIN. This is going to be the 3rd time these headers have been coated. This is just a sad disappointment in the quality of Jet Hot. If these weren't warrantied for life, I don't know that I would be choosing these guys again.

I have a set of tti's that had rusted I called jet hot and they said they never did work for tti. Ok so I called tti they also said they never used jet hot either. Anyway I sent them to jet hot to get coated and got them back in almost a week so great turn around time they look great also.

I called them (OKC) and was told they never coated for tti and they never had a dan working for them. Basicaly told me to get lost

Wow that's very strange. I went there, took a tour of the place with him. The guy was real unless I screwed up on his name? He claimed they did TTi's but maybe he was thinking of something else? I didn't see him the other day so I don't know if he still works there or not. Regardless I hate to see that the rest of you can't get them warrantied. Sorry if I was misled. I guess I just lucked out.

yea...my coated TTI headers started to rust the first couple months of being in use...

I talked to a guy at Jet Hot today and he said that Dan has now retired. The guy I talked to wasn't aware of doing TTi headers but he said he's olny been there a few years. Some of the old timers may have known about it he said but he would have to ask around. So it sounds like some of that knowledge is now gone with Dan.

Buying the headers uncoated is only good if you don't like the chrome looking ceramic. I bought mine used for 400 and it cost me 300 to have them coated satin ceramic. So it basically cost the same price as new TTI headers.

TTIs come in satin too.

Just think of how thin the tubes are going to be after media blasting them again, again, and again. Can you say, thin wall?

these have about 12K miles, not in rain or snow but they look new!!

Funny you mention that. They mailed the headers to me and only took a day. I got them out to look them over and what do I see? 2 PINHOLES on one of the pipes where it turns down from the head! I'm getting a bit frustrated at this point now. I called them and they're going to make it right. Mail them back, fix the holes, and recoat. I don't even know what to say at this point. It's beyond irritating. Their customer service has been fanatic though. I will give them that.

I have a used set from a drag car that are getting the rainbow coloring in them, must be nickel plated?

Mine just set the winter and I see rust what is ttis warranty. Hell Im not sure where I got them some where in cailf I think.

More media blasting. They aren't gonna last. I'd unload em after you get them back and cut the check for another set. Once they see constant heat, nuff said.

Jet Hot tried to fix the pin holes and blew through (big surprise). So Roger called me up today and just straight up said that they will replace the headers and will keep the old headers and sell them on ebay or something after they get patched up. So I gave him the part number to a set of bare W2 headers and he says he'll order them in, coat them, and send them to me. When I mentioned having them replace the headers a couple weeks ago, it was out of the question talking to the other guy there. But now it seems that they are going to make it right and get me a whole new set! In a way that is good and bad. I had the old headers dented where they needed the clearance and now the new ones won't have the dents. Maybe I can make it work without denting the new headers. I hate to damage the coating on the new ones. Could be that the engine wasn't positioned right in the first place. So anyhow, that's the next chapter in this saga of Jet Hot. lol
