Mopar Engines ~ "Combinations That Should Have Been Made Available"

Consensus

Mopar should have built both a 340 'Six-Barrel' and a 440 'Six-Barrel' for the 1970 Duster, and a 'Race Hemi'.

The 1970 Cuda and Challenger should have been made available with
'3' versions of the 383, and {no 340's for the heavy E-Body}, '5' versions of
the 440, a Street Hemi and a 'Race Hemi'.

* 383/335 HP {Properly Re-factored to 300 HP}
* 383/320 HP {10.0-1 Pistons ~ .484"/284* 'Hydraulic' Camshaft ~ Aluminum Intake}
* 383/340 HP {11.0-1 Pistons ~ .484"/284* 'Hydraulic' Camshaft ~ Aluminum Intake ~ 780 CFM Holley}

* 440/375 HP {Properly Re-factored to 356 HP}
* 440/375 HP {11.0-1 Pistons ~ 'Mechanical' Camshaft ~ Aluminum Intake ~ 800 CFM Holley}
* 440/390 HP {10.0-1 Pistons ~ 'Hydraulic' Camshaft ~ 'Six-Barrel'}
* 440/400 HP {11.0-1 Pistons ~ 'Mechanical' Camshaft ~ 'Six-Barrel'}
* 440/420 HP {11.0-1 Pistons ~ 'Mechanical' Camshaft ~ Max-Wedge Heads ~ Cross-Ram Intake ~ Twin Carter's}

Just a note: there is a big difference in the way 70-74 Cuda's and Challengers drive with 340's vs. any of the big blocks. I have driven all except a hemi car and would take a spirited 340 over the other 2 powerplants anyday. tmm
