Vacuum line help

Cool, thanks, so I may as well leave it installed and hook it up with the new engine. But like I said the nipple that goes to the fuel line cracked but didn't fall off, the canister is fine though. Can I just glue it as suggested? No pieces fell off.

And I've read that it's good to use a fuel filter in the vacuum line that goes to the carb just in case it sucks some charcoal out or something.

If you drill the tip that broke off and the canister side then use a small section of metal tube inside it, it works better.
I tried super glue first and it just snapped off again when the hose went back on.
Superglue might do it if it just cracked.

You can use one of those small plastic fuel filters in the line if you want.
(Like they use on small engines and motorcycles.)
