Easily repaired with normal bodywork methods. You could also get one of the aftermarket reenforcing braces like XV motorsports used. The one on my 66 was even more mangled and now it is totally fixed and looks like factory. Hammer & dollie and heat and a mig welder and presto. BTW the hole is where a captured nut goes to secure the brake from the k-member to the cross member.
