Heat cost

I paid 3.75 a gal the end of Jan. don't know what it is at now but for sure will need another tank before this cold weather is over. Russ the propane prices jumped higher than the fuel oil here. when my last del. the driver told me it had just jumped from 2.96 to 4.00 and I read it in the paper the very next day. They get what the traffic bears and this has been an extremely long and cold winter. No reason it should cost more than gasoline. less work refining it and red dyed oil is for off road use and therefore not paying road use tax. Sorry for the rant, it just seems like you can't get a break on anything anymore.

My last fill up was delivered December 21st. The price was $2.85 per gallon. I still have 25% in the tank which should last the rest of this winter. I'm certain that propane is substantially higher right now but it will come down. In contrast, heating oil has been high, well above $3.50 for the last several years. I also notice that heating fuel prices vary considerably from one location to another. Some suppliers more so than others are known to take advantage of their customers. Sad.........
