Anybody know for certain what these came out of. I need to order covers and I'm not for sure what to order. I can't find a part number or anything on them, there was a partial build sheet, but I see nothing that helps.

At first I thought that they looked like the Challenger seats I used to have but I'm not positive. Mine did not have the upholstered back, but I see that some did. There seems to be a lot of variation in the way the pleats were made. Some vertical. Some horizontal. Some had a more curved pleat insert on the backs than others. Most of the Mopar ones I remember had a vertical seam that went through the head rest, but apparently not all.

I'm thinking 73 and up A-Body seats. Are there any small metal tags with some #'s attached to the frames underneath?

I couldn't say for sure, but that's what they look like to me. I Googled seats and the best match I could find are the white ones in the lime Challenger. They have upholstered backs and the seatback insert has vertical pleats that are squared off at the top. It's been a long time since I had mine but I think they were identical except mine had the plastic (non-upholstered) back of seat. I thought about asking Worman. He might know for sure. I've got him as one of my FB friends.

I didn't see any. All I found was a portion of the build sheet.

Pull one of those plastic seat side covers off & post a part #

Also, after enlarging your 1st pic, I think the metal tag is there... It will look like this.

It looks like
535 HBB

EDIT: I just changed that last number in the first group to an 8.

I'm pretty sure the HBB stands for HIGH BACK BUCKET. I've been trying to match any of the other numbers on Google, but haven't got a hit yet. I'm guessing the 3 digits before the HHB might be critical. You might have to take a second look to make sure that they are 535.

I have to agree with 6pk2goDemon as far as the year and A-body buckets.
1973 and up and A-body buckets. 70 A-body buckets have a plastic back and the button to tip the seatback forward is on the side of the seat and rectangle in shape.

A good upholstery shop could mimic the same pattern without buying new covers... Just a thought..

I know (sigh), an acquaintance of mine owns a shop, I have discussed it with him. 600 bucks to recover, other shops want slightly more.. I can buy covers for around 350.

I'm hoping for the less expensive option.

1975-1976 Duster-Dart...A-body seats...I have those same seats in my Duster put in by the previous owner.

You could also use 1973-1974 covers if you wish.

I am keeping them in my 72 because I think the vinyl back will hold up better with people sitting in the back seat then a plastic backing would.

I think I would chk out Legendarys website or get their catalog...it will show all the diff yrs and covers for most all cars[pics]...I am certain they are a-body seats...the seats themselves could be a-b or e seats, they used the same basic seats in same yrs for all of them..just diff covers and tracks...for example my seat[shortbacks] came out of a 69 gts dart, other than the covers and tracks they were the exact same seat as the 69 b-body,found all this out from Legendary's catalog...
