having trouble finding the end gap for a set of trw l2295s with sped pro plasma moly rings, anyone have a clue?

according to speed pro[trw] and others....top ring=.004 per inch of bore diameter for moderate perf engine...2nd ring=.005 per inch of bore diameter for mod perf engine...for drag racing and circle track is as follows....0045 top and .0055 for 2nd per inch of bore diameter....

I know you are working on a 440 so what overbore you loking at? .030 over or ?

Well teacher, the answer is .017 for the top ring and .021 for the second ring, how many points do i get for today? Lol

.0174..I'd prob go .018.......2nd .021750..I'd go .022..just me,am sure theyre others will chime in...pm IQ52 and see what he thinks, you are file fitting plasma moly rings, right?

Yea, im going to file fit them, gotta take the block down to the shop to get it bored this week first

Depends on your induction and exhaust, but if the bottom end is prepped correctly and balanced, it's more than capable of it. If you haven't already thought about it, maybe consider doing the research for oiling mods...

What kinda top end and cam are you looking at?

I have fully ported 452 heads 2.14 1.81 valves mp557 solid cam probably get a torker 2 intake and I have a worked holley 800DP.

Not to dipute what works for others. But I always use bore x .0045 for the top ring and .0055 for second ring. Non nos motor.

That is correct by their specs for nos...if you plan on nos then use that formula...wont hurt nothing...
