Want to upgrade the "stock" mufflers on my '68 340-S.
Don't want too loud, just more "throaty" sounding.
Thrush, Dynaflow,…?
Also, don't want to spend too much $$$.
Appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks, Rick

I'd get in touch with Accurate exhaust. They should have an exact fit HP muffler for your car.

Dynomax sound quiet at idle, good when you rev them, and aren't too expensive.

Read good things about the THRUSH welded muffler.
Summit price $29.97
Opinions?
they are just another flowmaster knock off.if you like the flowmaster type sound, but dont want the drone or rasp id suggest heartthrob velocity mufflers.chambered sound, high flow rate and no drone.

I'll tell ya. If I knew where to get EXACTLY what Ma put on em at the factory I'd get 'em.

Rick , you know what the Thrush welded sounds like cause that`s what I have on my Dustrag . I also have a set of Thrush turbo mufflers that I had put on my customers Mustang and he felt they were too loud for his tastes . If you want to try them out , we can slip them on to see. They are 2 inch which I believe is what you need . BTW , I might be getting a 72 Duster 11 second drag car with 360 next week for really cheap !

I just went through this. Agonizing over which one by listening to every sound clip, searching forums for reviews, combing the Internet for anuthing. After weeks I was even more befuddled then when I started. I finally just settled on a summit dual system and universal x-pipe kit. I hope I like it.

I have hooker aero chamber on my ride, sounds good
