You caint fix stupid. Good luck.

How did the issue get resolved?
Did ebay side with the buyer, as they always do, and you, the seller, get screwed?
Pay Pal put a freeze on the funds?

Just got it today , pay pal froze funds from the transaction.

I sent the buyer and ebay links to other auctions for the same part.

I don't know what kind of game the buyer is playing but he's not gonna get a nickel out of me unless I have to.

I figure he has one that's not as nice and is trying to stick me with that one instead of the nice one I sent.

And the buyer just received the part today and didn't bother to contact me just makes an immediate claim to ebay.

They must think their complaint will get them past the no returns on the auction

ask for them to ship it back in the the same condition you sold it-- make them pay for it & you will refund the original sale minus shipping-- see what ebay says.(hope you have a return policy)
I had some A** hat try that on me with some shoes my son sold--- I told him when they were back in my possession-- we could start the refund-- never heard back from them..
I'm sure they have gotten free items doing this just another way to rip people off. Good luck & have patience. Lawrence

Get the original part back no shipping refund and 20% restocking fee and don't deal with this a** munch on anything you have for sale if possible. Keep an eye out for his shipping address because after a while he will change him log on name.

Not always true I just got screwed as a buyer. Bought a part that was not as described it was broken and welded. I had to ship back and got a refund for part plus original shipping. So the seller says sorry for not looking part over better before listing but no money for return shipping being he lost original shipping cost. Here I sit with no part and out 17.45 cost for return shipping. So sometimes the buyer gets a screw job. I told him I will leave a negative feedback and he says oh well I am a power seller go right ahead.

I buy and sell on ebay , recently I had a buyer try and get a refund for a item not as advertised.

Tell me what you think here is the auction , buyer states that the item I shipped him is a heater delete plate.

I shipped the exact item I had pictured in the auction

Again I am the seller Dart-Swinger

I have 2 ebay stores.. this is a common practices from ebay scammers. Ebay normally takes the side of the buyer. but, I have responded to claims with the following … This is a vintage(used) piece, if its not what you wanted or have changed your mind, you are more than welcome to send it back, once The item is in my possession, I will issue a full refund. then they either send it back or escalate the claim. I have had no one escalate the claim.

I have a very small % of issues, but some people you can not and will not satisfy.

I had some douche do the same thing to me recently. I sold him a programmer for a Ram truck and 4 months after he purchased it he filed chargeback claim against me saying it was not as advertised. He actually sent me an email stating he sold it to someone else and the new person could not load it into his truck and asked me how to, so he could tell the new buyer. I sent this and another email he sent me on to Paypal and 90 days later I got my 250.00 back. I could not believe the gall this person had to do something like that.

I sold a used CB radio on eBay that I listed as "non working and for parts only" and the buyer filed a claim against me saying the item was not as described and the radio is junk. He ended up getting a full refund and still got to keep the radio. A year later he tried to bid on another radio from me and I retracted his bid and banned him from bidding on any items of mine.

I haVE FOUND EBAY TENDS TO SIDe WITH THE BUYER UNLESS THE SELLER REALLY COVERS HIS A--. I Have bought AND SOLD AUTO AND OTHER TYpE ITEMS, LIKE MOST EVERYONE, I'VE BEEN SCREWED BOTH BUYIN ANDS SELLIN1 lol... like the man said, state no returns unless you made an honest mistake and described it wrong or such, if you made mistake, you need to cover all expenses, other wise you have NO return policy, or if you want to risk getting screwed, take returns with buyer payin ship costs and charge him a restock fee.
kind of like swap meets, I find real car guys, especially mopar folks try to be honest in their dealing, the problem usually is the guy that finds an old car and thinks its made of titanium and gold and all he sees is $ signs! craigslist is full of them!??? LOL

Two months ago i too became a member of the "i got scammed over the internet club" with an ebay transaction of mine.
Buyer filed a claim that i sent an empty box, and no part inside.
The small part was sent in a box that measured 6x6x6 and weighed in at 1pound 4.8 ounces.
If i mailed an empty cardboard box, what would an empty box weigh? 2-3 ounces or something?
Sent ebay and Pay pal all the receipts, and they sided with the buyer, and i got screwed, the buyer gets a free part, gets his money back, i'm out the part and my payment.
Got into lots of trouble over that with ebay, and they considered me a bad seller and put me on a selling restriction.
I didn't do anything wrong, and i have to take the consiquences of the scammer on the other end of the internet.
But to the op of this thread, you do ebay, or the internet web sites, for buying and selling, sooner or later, your gonna run into a thief and scammer(s) out there.

That sucks for sure, I bought spindles off of you on eBay and was very happy with the transaction.

I'm a full time seller on Ebay. If I mess up, you get all your money back. Sometimes I let you keep the part if it costs more than it's worth for me to pay to return it. If you bought the wrong thing, found one cheaper, decided you don't want it, my normal return policy is for the buyer to pay shipping both ways and a 25 percent restocking charge.

Now HERE'S the "secret" full time Ebayers don't want you to know: If an Ebayer is a "top rated seller" (it will say so beside the sellers name) Ebay gives you a 20 percent discount on your fees. If you're like me and spend 3-4K per year on Ebay fees, that 20 percent is a substantial amount of money.

The trick is the DSR (detailed seller rathings) that you leave for your seller. Unlike a feedback, DSRs are anonymous. The person doesn't know that you left a bad DSR. AND if a "Top Rated Seller" gets more than two DSRs under three stars in any category in a YEAR..Ebay pulls that 20 percent discount.

For me, many times it's much easier to completely eat a $10-$50 sale and give back the money rather than risk losing my discount. But yes, I do block the buyer after that happens.

I buy and sell on ebay. My personal experience has been pleasant. I have found the people to be very friendly and I have never had a bad feedback. I have found it a great way to buy and sell. However, just like flea markets, swap meets, and even FABO (lots of threads slamming buyers and sellers here), there are jerks everywhere.... and I'm sure ebay is no exception!

They are changing there story some now , said I didn't send the part in the aucion.

Told me I sent a heater control delete plate and will send me pictures of the part in a few days.

I never owned a heater delete plate for a 69 dart and took all the pictures for my sales myself

As a seller, why not accept a return? I do and say "full refund minus shipping" and have had no takers.

been there and done that several times. Ebay looks at your seller rating.. making it seem like, well, ebay is losing customers to a seller with a low dsr.

i do feed my family very well with ebay.. I just do what it takes..

The auction clearly said NO Returns in the description , I am not taking a part back because a bidder changed their mind or can't read

I will not enable people like that to do the same to other sellers
