Can anyone tell me if Super Stock rear leaf springs, will work on a street car. Will they bolt right in or do the perches need to be moved ?

Sure, they'll bolt right in and work on the street. The ride will be stiffer and they'll raise the back of your car - and the back bumper won't be level.
What is your car's purpose? Strictly street or street/strip?
If strictly street, you may be better off using a matched pair of HD leaf springs from ESPO

The super stock leaf springs will bolt right in. No need for the perches to be moved unless you did a relocation of the front and rear spring mounts. You just need to verify the weight of the car and get the correct springs. They come in an assortment of car weight applications.

My car is strickly street use. The reason I'm thinking of these springs is because the price is right and they are for sale locally, so no shipping costs involved. Besides all of that, I'm old school and like the back of my car to sit higher than the front. Something like the way our cars would have sat in the 60s and early 70s. To me my car is to low in the back.

IIRC, I think the front bolt is larger on the SS spring,, so you may have to drill out the front spring perch hole...

hope it helps

The guy selling them said one has 4 leafs and the other has 5 leafs, but he said that I could remove the 5th leaf from the one spring to even them out.

No, the bolts on the front are the same.

SS springs will bolt right in. I have been using them on street cars for over 30 years now. No problems. I love them.
