Bill Hirsch Prep and Paint

Hey guys. I've been reading through some great threads here about how to best treat and restore the original cast iron intake/exhaust manifolds. On the intake manifold I first hit it with the wire cup brush on my angle die grinder. That got most of it. Then it soaked in Easy-Off overnight. Rinsed and hit it with a small wire cup brush to get the hard to reach spots. The exhaust manifolds soaked in Evapo-Rust for a few days. Rinsed and hit with the die grinder brush. That went really easy and the remaining rust just flew off. Followed up with Bill Hirsch metal prep and brushed on the cast iron gray with a foam brush. I need to touch up a few spots before they bake to cure. So far I love the look and the results. We'll see how it holds up!
