I agree with you, the SBP 14 inch in a 4.5,or 5.0 wide will work best with your present 9" brakes. Once you upgrade to a 10" drum or disc brakes, you have more choices. Brake efficiency decreases as wheel mass increases. I bought a dart once with 9" brakes, with 14x6 wheels and 215/70-14 tires. it couldn't stop if it's life depended on it. In order to sell it I re-installed 14x5 width and 195/75-14 tires. it stopped on a dime, sold the car, peace of mind.:cheers:
