Hi all, heres my 1970 vg valiant wagon thats undergoing a birthday. a small tidy up somehow changed into a total rebuild of the car, ive replaced every wire in the car. new brake lines, new wheels, new trim and chrome and stainless moulds where i could find them, and fixed the paint in areas.new fuel system through out the car, new dash and guages,It has mini tubbs, chassis connectors and relocated leaf springs which will have calvert caltracs on them, 9 inch rear with 3.9 gears. 727 built by A&A trans, a 540ci all aluminium wedge motor built by Hughes, im currently a fair way into the build and am in the process of putting rack n pinion steer and independent front end from hemi denny. it will have wilwoods all round.

Was this an Aussie thing only? I'm not sure if I have seen a wagon valiant of that year in the USA.

Sweet ride keep the pics coming. That should be a handful to drive. :burnout:

im in qld, its all passed and regoed except for the ifs, probably wont be able to get that passed but im not worried it will still be street driven, i dont think there was any 1970 valiant wagons built in the u.s.a 67cudafb

are those air intake ducts on the top front of the fender(s) ....?? if so, would you have some photo(s) of it from underneath ...

they are the indicators in the front fenders, the k frame is in but a few mods have to be done. apparently the top spring mount is lower in the aussie A bodies so denny is sending me some different ones with the top hole in a different spot,

As you can see its very low at the moment so once the few little changes happen it will raise it a bit. At the moment the pan is 3 inches off the ground

Hey bro,

Very cool wagon, Im converting my 73 valiant to rack and pinion as well, I'm interested to know what rack you used please. Im after a power rack as i will do doing %50 of my driving around town.

Cheers

Neat looking ride....wife was looking over my shoulder, was asking about what appear to be blinds in the back..have seen similar looking things on other cars from "over there". You folks not allowed to tint the glass?

The blinds were used before there was tint. theyre used alot over here as well, mostly on traditional customs

I want a ride-LOL-"Honey I'm going for grocery's" Nice planning and beautiful ride
