Found an original 340 car in a shed

I've driven past this car a bunch of times before, but never stopped by to say hi to the guy. Well yesterday I had the Dart out so I thought I'd stop by and see if he wanted to talk about the car and if I could take a look. Right away he was pretty tense about it, but I assured him I didn't want to buy it. He asked why I wanted to look at it, so I pointed to my Dart and said I'm into A bodies. Once I said that he relaxed a little and said he gets about 100 people a month offering $200 for it.
He has owned the car since 1981, when he bought it from the original owner. Its an original Vancouver Island car. He said it was parked due to having a family, and he built the motor to 11.5:1 and fuel prices was killing it for him. It's been parked about 25 years.
It's a '72 Duster 340, 4 speed, DANA 60, originally brown with a black longitudinal stripe and a black vinyl top, black interior with high back buckets, shark tooth grille, dual chrome sport mirrors, 340 call out on the hood, black stripes on tail panel, dual chrome exhaust tips, fender mounted turn signals, rallyes, front discs. No idea on interior options.
Its now painted black, still has the black vinyl top, needs quarters, interior work, and a possible engine rebuild.
Apparently when he was younger he pulled the original 340 (still has it) and built a '69 340 to 11.5:1, Isky cam, tunnel ram, cut the original hood, and put in 4.30's. Later on he took off the tunnel ram and put the original air cleaner on, 340 manifolds, 3.55's, and found another flat hood for it.
He had some pretty cool stories from back in the day, like driving it out to kelowna with 4.30's on it, or when he did donuts in the KFC parking lot and ended up smacking the quarter into the wall, which is why its now full of mud and why it was repainted black.
He said he wants to have the quarters done and is ready to drive it again, but isn't sure when that'll happen. He filled the 340 with tranny fluid before parking it, but is sure it'll need a rebuild.
Here's some pics. Don't ask me where it is, because I won't say. He wasn't interested in selling it, and I'm not going to bother him with that.
