Six pack scoop install

I got the underside of the hood sanded(fingers wore to the bone) and primed. I started with 80 grit and went to 180 then used a red Scotch brite to get any sand scratches that might show through. I touched up the bare metal spots with etch primer and then 2K primer. Hopefully gonna be able to get the top side filled and primed by monday. I have a couple of dings to try and tap out and feather edge some rock chip spots.

When I cut out my hood for the scoop I cut about an inch in from the triangular bracing where your hole is and my air cleaner is up into the scoop... The air cleaner sits a little off center of the hood.. Just wondering why you didn't do the same? You said you didn't want to cut the supports of the hood and you wouldn't if you did it that way.. Which is the way the factory cut the hoods...Just wondering (not dising you)...Bill;)
