So back a few years ago when I first decided to do a Hemi swap I watched the video on Inertia's website for the SRT Max Rumbler cam and knew that I wanted that sound in my car. At the time of the inital swap I didn't have the money for the cam and kept telling myself I'd save up and do heads and a cam at the same time. Well, as the time passed I never could convince myself to pull the trigger on the full heads and cam package, but I finally did buy the cam at least.

After 9 hours leaning over the fenders last Friday I finally got the sound I had been waiting 3 years for. Of course I had to have the cutouts open for the full effect :iconbigg:.

Sounds nice. Need a little rev for us sound junkies.

Yeah, I need a little tripod or to use my GoPro or something so I can set the camera down and work the throttle. Tune is getting there. Idle may have smoothed a tad from when the video was taken with the new tune, but I'll likely keep tweaking it to my taste.

That sounds bad ***.

Mental note, give the Spartan Max serious consideration.

Sounds nice, what's the specs,on the cam....? .(new to this late model Hemi stuff).

I'd have to look it up again to be sure since I can never remember exactly off the top of my head, but it's something like 218/226 duration with .556/.566 lift on a 110 LSA. From what I've been told, it's not quite factory PCM friendly, not a problem for me since I'm running aftermarket though. The LSA starts pushing some factory limits I guess, though I believe you can run this with a 112 LSA on factory computers. It's the SRT Max Plus from Inertia Motorsports.

Same cam as mine - with that 110 lsa you might be horrified at the piston to valve clearance...we measured it!

.....but Ive had no issues...but Ill be making sure my valve springs are always within spec....

You have a 6.1 setup though don't you? Don't think my 5.7 is quite as bad on the valve clearance, though I'll have to keep that in mind.

And maybe if I'm lucky it'll shake the dust and rust off the car so I don't have to do it myself, lol.

Yes mate - mines a 6.1 - The cam installed where Inertia claim it should (114 ICL) but came it at .068th P-V on the intake side.

Ive been told that there are guys running less - RPM limiters and better tolerances make this possible - but you wouldn't want a spring going too soft!!
