What's up with truck prices-RANT !!!!!

8,700 for an 04' is good. I know the miles are a concern, but around here a clean 95-97' 360 four wheel drive will bring 5,000 all day. They don't go down unless they are toast. I sold my 97' cummins 2500 for 11,500, and I had a waiting list. I now buy new, haggle down to the lowest, and buy it. I bought my 12' 3500 Cummins 4x4 for 38,000, it listed for 50k. Around here that truck would bring used close to 38k with 14k miles on it. it seems strange, but that is the way it is. My Brother recently bought a new 14', and sold his 06 3500 Cummins with 80k on it for 4,000 less than he paid for it eight years ago. That is $500 a year depreciation. Fords and chevys don't see that value out of their Diesels.
