68 318 or 79 360

The driveshaft and rear end, both were the right lengths and didn't need to be modified at all? Did it have a 4.5" bolt pattern, I wonder if they made very many 2wd models?.
He didn't mean that the 8 3/4 rear end came out of the ramcharger. The last year for the 8 3/4 was '74 (I believe) for the trucks. He was saying that with an 8 3/4 rear end, drive shaft from the ramcharger fit with the above mentioned tranny. Remember, 727 and 904 are different lengths in the tailshaft requiring different length drive shaft. Also, an 8 3/4 rear yolk will be closer to the tranny than a 7 1/4 yolk, requiring a shorter drive shaft.
