I have a weiand intake for my 360 and I was getting ready to put it all together and I noticed that the thermostat hole is huge and my water neck don't match up!? And there is no grove for the thermostat to sit in? I've attached some pics so you guys can see what I'm talking about. So do I need a special water neck and thermostat to make this fit?

The hole measures just a touch over 2"

yup. you need a gooseneck with the notch in it to house the tstat.

That intake uses the 70's style aluminum water neck. The factory went to a small steel neck sometime in the 80's. I'm not sure what they used in the 60's.

gooseneck huh? I will Google around but does anyone know of one right off hand?

i might be slightly retarded but ive looked and i can find no such thing!

Yea I ran into the same issue with one of my intakes. From 1951 to 1978 dodge used a 2.4ish inch thermostat and in 1979 they switched to the smaller 2.1" style. Just check with the parts store for one from an older year. Bring yours for reference. I'll add a link to a forum post talking about it all.

I can't remember where I got the thermostat housing but Hemitheus is right, it'll have a notch around the housing.

When he said "gooseneck" it was just slang. "Water outlet", "thermostat housing" and a few other names. There were early and late. If possible get a cast iron one. I actually got an iron one at O'Reallys, but I considered myself lucky, because I got "one of the girls" and the "girls" in there do better than "the boys" at finding stuff!!!!!

(One of 'em even likes my Dart, LOL)
