turbo 6 bangers post here

Bill, if all i need is 10psi ill be ecstatic. the way it runs already i believe you may be right.

well turns out my afr isnt as good as previously thought. for some reason i though i was shooting for 12.5 and i had 13.2 so figured i was close. apparently im shooting for 11.5. im gonna try some vent tube extensions and see where that takes me. if that doesnt clear it up im gonna jet up the secondaries. overall drivability is excellent part throttle cruise is 15+ so im going to leave the primaries alone. im loving the extra power. thing pulls like a freight train straight to 5k with no pining, popping, surging, backfiring or anything just runs awesome. on 6 month old 87 octane no less. i know its a bad idea but i gotta get it out of there before i turn it up. also still running my stock distributor setup. gonna pull it tomorrow and limit the throw on the mechanical advance. (i know i should have done these things before pounding on it but its been more then a year in the making and i was giddy when i felt the initial boost, im sure some of you can relate)gonna get the best tune on it i can this week. i have a race that i run every year coming up on sunday. cutting it a little close for my liking but i should be able to get it all together. :burnout:

on another note. what is the expected pressure drop from the carb hat to the manifold? my waste gate is set to 8psi but the gauge i have tapped into the bottom of the carb is holding steady at 5. there are expected losses from the large intercooler im running and the over sized piping but that shouldnt account for more then 1psi at best. im tempted to hook another gauge up to the carb hat to see what the actually pressure is not just what the motor is seeing.
