318 exhaust manifolds on a 360

The regular 318 exhaust manifold is 1 7/8 ID on the exit hole (I'll post pics tomorrow). My manifolds are just short of 2 1/4" ID. So, would prefer to run 1 7/8" pipe all the way back to your rear bumpers OR 2 1/4" pipe??
