Insurance for weekend car

Looks like you've already made your decision, but I'll throw in my two cents. I've got Grundy.

The pro is that it's for agreed value. You tell them what you want to insure it for and they charge you based on that. Also, it's cheap for the coverage. Mine is covered for about $18k for about $280 a year.

The con is that they don't want you to drive it for anything but pleasure, as in car shows, cruises, etc. No errands. Technically, you aren't covered if you are on your way to a car show and stop at a grocery store to get sandwiches and something happens in the parking lot. I arm-wrestled with them about that, saying that it's not a reasonable thing to expect. I also said that I occasionally would drive it to work to go to a car show after work only on nice days. They reluctantly agreed.

Oh yeah, don't ever mention anything about a drag strip or autocross!
