390 stroker

Could you post the details of the engine.....

I sure wish you could load it too. How are you going to delete the many explatives and not cut the engine sound? That was quite an experience and I thank you for the opportunity to witness. Nice #s for a 318.

4" stroker crank, rods and pistons to suit, and I think a 0.030" overbore.

.030 over 318 block ...3.94 bore. x 4 inch stroke.

Tony,
That's not a 390 at all it comes out to a 396.1 And 6.4L

What did you do to get "390"?

IF you use the actual bore of: 3.90625 add .030 to it for the overbore size, with a 4 inch stroke, and times by 8, it comes out to: 389.4, and then you can round it up to 390....

But the numbers you gave for the bore WITHOUT the overbore doesn't come out right! I take it this is a LA 318 then?

For the Dyno numbers that sure is impressive to know of a 318 with that sort of power, who'da thunk it?

Your Engine with bore of 3.940 and stroke of 4.00 is 390.15 CID

http://www.wallaceracing.com/cid.php

BUT a 3.94 bore ISN'T a LA 318.....The bore on a LA 318 is 3.90625. Did you take this and add the .030 to it? If you take 3.90625 + .030 its 3.93625

I see the mistake I made, I took your 3.94 and added the .030 to that (which would then make it a .060 overbore), My bad!

You'd had simply added it, rounded it up and it still comes out as a 390.....

a 318 has a stock bore of 3.91 add .030 overbore...you got 3.94....

http://www.allpar.com/mopar/318.html

they say it is 3.91......

and make sure you use this number for Pi..... 3.141592653589793238462643383279502884197169399375105820974944592307816406286 ...
